This Easy Crockpot Chocolate Lava Cake it’s everything a chocolate lover dreams of. It’s rich, gooey, decadent, and swimming in pools of molted dark chocolate. The best part is that you probably have all the ingredients for it in your pantry.
Fun fact: baking cakes in the crockpot is one of the best methods because the cake cooks slowly, evenly, and allows time for all the flavors to meld together, making the flavor extra rich and the cake exterior silky and luscious. Serve this warm with a heaping scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream, and it’s the pinnacle of earthy bliss.

Easy Crockpot Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 3 tbsps cocoa powder
- 2 tsps baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup milk
- ⅓ cup butter
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 tsps vanilla bean paste
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup light brown sugar
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 cups hot water
Instructions:
- Mix cake batter dry ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix cake batter wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, microwave your butter and dark chocolate chips in 30 second increments until fully melted.
- Combine your wet & dry ingredients, & spread it on the bottom of your crockpot.
- Cake Topping: Mix your granulated sugar, brown sugar, & cocoa powder together. Sprinkle this on top of your cake batter along with the chocolate chips. Pour your hot water over everything, & don’t stir it in.
- Cover, & cook on high for 2.5 hours. Enjoy with vanilla ice cream & a dusting of flaky sea salt!
